Noam Galai is a photographer residing in New York City. He specializes in sporting events, photojournalism, concerts, studio photo shoots, conferences, family celebrations, etc.

Noam was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel. His passion for photography began at a young age while traveling extensively with his family throughout North America, Europe, and the Middle East, trips that were recorded in many photos and videos. As he grew so did his interest in photography, as well as computer technologies including web design and photo editing.

SPORTS

As an avid basketball fan, Noam naturally gravitated toward photographing sports events, especially games of Maccabi Tel Aviv. His photographs appeared on Maccabi's official website and magazines as well as in leading Israeli, American, and European newspapers and news sites.

During recent years, Noam has photographed such sporting events as the NBA All-Star in Dallas, NBA Finals in Orlando, and European Championships (Final Four games) in Prague, Athens and Madrid.

Noam has photographed the games of the New York Liberty from the WNBA for the past three years.

Growing up in Israel instilled in Noam a need to keep track of the latest breaking news, which led to his interest in photojournalism.

In July 2007, Noam's photos of the steam pipe explosion in NYC which were used by CNN.
In January 2009 Noam's photos of the US Airways plane crashing to the Hudson River appeard on Fox News.
Yahoo chose a photo from Noam's coverage of the Ground Zero light beams commemorating 9/11 as one of the top ten photos of 2007.

CONCERTS AND CELEBRITIES

Noam has photographed concerts given by Green Day, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Leonard Cohen, and many others. In November his photographs of a secret Evanesence show were used by Rolling Stone. In addition to musicians, Noam has photographed many noteworthy individuals ranging from Jerry Seinfeld to Kobe Bryant.

But Noam's true talent is to take a photograph of an unknown person and create a memorable portrait, to take a picture of the ordinary things we see every day and show us how they are remarkable.
